Towing w/ a 1998 (or similar year) Sienna
Has anyone had any experience towing a trailer with a 1998 (or similar year) Sienna? I'll be towing a Pace Cargosport trailer (5X5X8 with a load capacity of 1500 pounds) from Minneapolis to Boston and back. I'm anticipating that I'll have to remove the back two rows of seats to put some things in the back of the van itself as well.
What kind of hitch did you use? Anything in particular I should keep in mind besides the regular advice for towing (i.e, keeping more weight towards the front of the trailer, etc.)? Any experiences/info would be greatly appreciated! SP |

I'd go to a dealer to get their recommendation. You may want to have a transmission cooler (likely) and possibly an oil cooler (unlikely) installed. U-haul does decent trailer hitches, but from what I've seen most reputable installers do a good job and charge about the same.

Did you have any luck towing with the Sienna? I may be getting a boat and am wondering about how well it may tow it. I figured on the transmission cooler already. And I believe it already has an external oil cooler. Let me know how your towing experience went.
