1998 Corolla Click Click when trying to start
My 1998 just started doing this last week. When I go to start it, it just clicks once and then nothing. If I flip the key enough times, it will start on the 3rd or 4th time. I was gassing up the other day and it took 11 turns of the key for it to finally start. I cleaned the battery terminals and it still does it. The battery is only a year old. Could this be the starter ? Easy to put in ? or should I take it to a shop ? I'm fairly mechanical. Thanx.

Starter contacts. Common Corolla problem. Parts only cost $12 from dealer. You will need to remove starter, disassemble and replace copper electrical contacts. Good DIY job, mechanic can do this in 1 hr.
