JERSEY CITY, N.J. (March 8) — The police here are searching for a 13-year-old girl who was last seen on Monday morning walking to school.

Investigators said that several text messages sent from her cellphone to her mother that day said that she had been abducted, but other messages to friends included no hint of trouble.

this morning on CNN they said they had found the girl at a hospital in New York. they didn't really discuss any of the details other than a few of the txt messages she sent her mom. it's a weird story considerin the circumstances.

it's bittersweet for me. i hope in one way she's joking about the rape because i wouldn't with that on anyone. but in another way i hope she isn't. because i have two close friend's who've been raped and it's not something to joke about. ever.

what's more, if she accuses someone and they're not guilty people will still think they're rapists. and that fucks up innocent people's lives.

The whole text messaging thing kind of gives it away. Maybe trying to get her parents to pay more attention to her. Why else would you text your mom your in danger but tell your friends that your fine?

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (March 10) -- A 13-year-old girl who sent chilling cell phone text messages claiming she had been kidnapped and abused in a dark basement had actually cut school and met an older teen for sex, authorities said Friday.

Sebastian Osorio, 19, was charged with criminal sexual contact. Authorities said the pair's activity was consensual, but a 13-year-old cannot grant legal consent to sex in New Jersey.
