A question about 2001 Prizm Stereo Wiring
I am trying to hook up a Pioneer DEH-16 to my car.
Here's my problem. Inside I have about 14 wires from my car. I looked up a wiring chart for 1999 and 2000 Prizm's, but there is something diffrent. (Keep in mind, this is the first time I've ever hooked up a stereo) Here is the chart that I found: Constant 12V+ Blue/Yellow Switched 12V+ Gray Ground Brown Illumination Green Dimmer White/Green Antenna Right Rear Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors Left Front (+) Pink Left Front (-) Purple Right Front (+) Light Green Right Front (-) Blue Rear Speakers 6 1/2" Rear Deck Left Rear (+) Black Left Rear (-) Yellow Right Rear (+) Red Right Rear (-) White Now, looking at the wires in the 2001, it all looks about the same except there is an additional Green wire that was not mentioned in the other car's wiring charts. If anyone can tell me what the wire is for it would help me out alot. Note: When I hook up the stereo using the chart above, I have two green wires (1 being the Illuiminator) and one White/Green (Dimmer) wires left over. Is there any where I should hook them up at? |
