New Vic Owner/Need help

Hey Guys,

I just got myself a 1990 Crown Vic LX. Dark Blue, engine seems to run good, Interiors mostly good, Body has a little rust, but mostly looks fine.

Anyways, i got a few question. Im missing a fuse in slot 15 of my fuse box and dont have an owners manual(not available for download on Fords website, they only go back to 96). Anyone able to tell me what type of fuse goes in this slot? What it controls?

Also a few other questions, may seem dumb but these items are different than any car i've had before. Is it normal for CV's to have no manual locks on the front door? All cars i've had with power locks also had manual. Also, how does the emergency break release? Never seen a car with out the release handle, kinda leary of pushing in the brake.

Also, anyone know if the front grill is interchangable with mid-80's models? I like the Ford emblem off to the side rather than center.

As for the fuse I will have to get back to you on that. For the locks there is no manual locks and if you try and push the little lock indicator that tells you if the doors are locked or unlocked you will end up breaking it. For the emergency brake the only way to release it is to step on it again and move your foot away and it will return back to normal and release the emergency brake. As for the grill I am not sure about the mid 80's ones but I do know that 88-91 grills will interchange.

The emergency brake is vacuum released. When it is placed in drive, the brake should release.

way2old, No the E-Brake is not vacum released you have to step on the E-Brake pedal again to release it when the E-Brake is applied.
CV_Ice, according to the owners guide, "Spaces for fuses 3,7, and 15 are not used. They are designed to accommodate new electrical parts that ford may add to future models". and that is word for word out of My 1990 CV owners guide.
