My friend has a GS 400 coupe. It's stock, I'm going to get the G35 coupe when it comes out I wonder if I can beat him. His car come with 300hp but weighs 3693 lbs. It does 0-60(according to edmunds) in 5.9 seconds. I saw that the G35 sedan does 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. The coupe is going to weigh a couple hundred pounds less and have more hp, so I think it should be able to whip un on a GS 400, but not completely sure. What do you guys think?

You're friend has a GS400 Coupe? I thought they only came in four doors?
But, yeah... if it does 0-60 in 5.9, the G35 coupe should be able to beat that. But, we don't know for sure yet.... We'll have to wait until closer ot November.

Yeah, the GS4 only comes in a sedan, you mean that he has an SC400, that is the coupe version, but it is a completely different car. In any case, you will be able to take him with a much lighter, 287hp(what i"ve heard) G35 coupe with a 6 speed. Expect 0-60 times around that of the 350Z, which does 5.4, maybe a tick or two slower, due to weight.:bandit:

Curious
Was curious if any feedback could be given on comparing the GS400 to the G35. I own a GS400 (great performer), but like the G35 too....never driven one hard though.
Thanks |

i've driven both pretty hard, and the G35 is definitely more athletic. faster(6 sp anyways) and much better through the twisties. GS4 rides much nicer, more comfortable, much better creature comforts. different class of car. given a choice, i would take the G35
