Can I Add Shocks???
I have a 2001 silverado with a 10 inch lift, the truck is 2X4 and in the front there are only springs. The truck bounces all over the place so I was wondering what I could do to stop that. I was told add ing shocks would help but Im not even sure that can happen.
Can I add them and if so how much do you think it might cost??????? Thanks, Fourty |

Re: Can I Add Shocks???
No Shocks????????
Definition of shock ==>> VIBRATION DAMPNER. Springs will absorb/allow the body to give but the vibration dampner is the item that stops the spring from continuing to oscilate/bounce. Ever watch a person on a bungie cord continue to bounce after the first time down? That is what your front end continues to do after the first pothole. Just keep adding more pothole and the spring continues to oscilate. Find the brand of lift kit and go to a 4x4 shop and have them look at it. You may be able to save some costs and install it yourself. GET SOME SHOCKS.... Multiple shocks on that big a lift.
