New Pacifica Whistling Dixie

I just bought a new 06 Pacifica and installed a set of genuine Mopar luggage rack cross rails. Now I get very annoying whistling noise coming from the cross rails through the sunroof. I checked with the dealer that I bought them from and they tell me there are several different styles of cross rails available but this is the set they prefer.
I've checked the seal on the sunroof and it seems to be tight (and obviously I didn't have the noise problem before installing the cross rails) I'm going to try to re-position them but other than that, does anyone have any other ideas???

There's been some talk about wind noise from the rails from the dealers and owners.

The recommendation is to push them both all the way to the rear, and the noise goes away.

Sounds like a cheesy answer, but it works. I took the rails of mine. When I need them, I'll put them back on.

opening the sunroof as a Vent (rear up) seemed to quiet mine some, but not completely.

Thanks for the reply Tom. I've been trying to figure out an idle problem with my old Durango so I put the wind noise with the Pacifica on the back burner for a while. We did try shoving the cross rails all the way to the back. Noise is still evident when sitting in the rear of the vehicle but not nearly as objectionable now in the front. I'm going to flip them around 180 degrees when I get a chance and see if that makes any difference. I saw another Pacifica with rails just like mine on the way home from work today and the swept-back leading edge of their rails was facing the rear of the vehicle. Since the instructions that I got with mine didn't show which way they mounted, we put them on with the swept-back edge facing the front of the car. Will let you know if that swap makes any diff.

I have a new (to us) '05 and cannot get the rails to move. We have tried the owners manual directions and unlatched them at each side. They loosen, but are immovable. We have pushed down, up, in and no luck. What are we missing?
