header+cat+o2=emissions?
Okay, Sorry about the last post I am going to try again but keep in mind that I am a newbie to the forum. I own a 98 civic dx and have decided to replace my cracked exhaust manifold (cata-fold) with a header. I have read all the threads about needing to install a cat but I heard from someone that the longer o2 sensor wire that I will need may cause my CEL to come on anyway. Something about resistance. Is this true, because I want to be able to pass inspection.

Re: header+cat+o2=emissions?
legthning the o2 sensor wire will be fine. pick up some 12 - 14 gauge wiring and solder them up.

Re: header+cat+o2=emissions?
Thanks for the reply, Now I just need to decide whether to go with the ex header/cat/exhaust combination or stay with the smaller pipes originally on my car. This forum is great by the way, I'm hoping to do a few more mods (realizing of course that the d16y7 is not really a high performance engine) but I'm pretty new to the whole idea so you'll probably hear from me again.
