Dodge Spirit - no tach or speedo plz help

I had just bought a 1991 dodge spirit. The speedo and tach arent working. Replaced sensor on trans and didnt change nothing. I checked everything and even changed speedo tach assembly. Please give any suggestions. Thanks

Did you follow the speedo cable and make sure its not broken anywhere? Is there any loose connections around the distributor?

i dont think theres a cable to speedo because the gauges are electric. I have checked plugs to are they are connected. because the radio doesnt work, i think its the ignition somewhere, does that sound about right, thank you for helping

not sure on the older cars but i sounds to me like the output speed sensor on the tranny although that should only affect your speedo. you tach should be hooked directly to you ignition control or the coil wire if it has a distributor. not too sure why both wouldn't be working.
