Question about Tamiya Desmosedici kit

Hi, I'm building this kit and I came across this question. Here is my fuel tank:

In the instructions sheets, in the 8th stage, we can see the tank as I have it at the moment:

Nothing more happens with the fuel tank until the 12th stage, where mysteriously it appears with some different part on it:

But there is no explanation or reference to any new part that has to be glued in that position.

I've been looking for reference pics of the motorbike and pics of some people who have built this kit, but I have not found any good pic of that part of the fuel tank.

Is there any piece to be glued there? Anything I'm not realizing about this?

Any help will be apreciated.

Regards

HAHA, I went through this last night. I even had my wife trying to help me. But after going through my Moto GP Racers Archive Book , the hole is there for some reason. The hole is black. Now the nipple is not there on the model so I made one for the fuel line that drops down between the front fairing and the tank. Any more questions let me know, when I get home later I can scan the picture if you would like.

Thanx
Doug

I was pissed because I had already painted it and thought I missed a part, lol. Your good to go though. Ill put a pic up in a hour or so.

Re: Question about Tamiya Desmosedici kit

Here are the pics. I went with Tabu Decals. I was very disappointed in the quality of the print, but it is my warm up model for my Ducati Visa Bike or another Marlboro with Renaissance Decals and all the goodies.

1. Mine with decals. I am going to put a piece of high def SMS carbon decal where the "hole" is.

2. I should of circled it but you can see the "hole" in the tank.

3. Another pic of the "hole", alittle bit harder to see.

Good Luck
