spanked an RSX-S last night

i was driving down a two lane road through a local city with a buddy last night, there's a stop light at the end of the road and the right lane has to turn right and the left lane has to turn left. i'm going a normal pace in the left lane ready to go left and head toward home when a white RSX-S comes ripping up past me and cuts me off at the light so he can be first. the way he did it was totally asshole-ish too cuz he cut me off like 100 feet before the light. well, the road you turn onto from the light is also a two lane road but the two lanes merge into one at the end. so the RSX takes the turn wide and puts himself in the right lane, and i take the left lane and from about 15-20 mph we go at it to about 90mph. we were pretty close through most of second but by the time i reached like 4500 rpm i was pulling real hard on his car. through 3rd into 4th i put about 4-5 cars on him and then his lane ends and he's behind me, which sucks cuz he's the type of dick-face who's gonna ride my ass for the rest of this road. i figure the race is over and slow back down to like 40-45 mph, but as we round a corner the road straightens out again and i can see he's gonna go for the pass over the dotted yellow line, which i should have let him do, but there was no one on the road and this kid was pissing me off so i just dropped it down into 3rd from 4th and proceeded to walk away from him again and not let him by. when we get to the end of that road we end up at another light together, but we're going opposite directions, so i roll my window down and look over at the kid with a "wtf is your problem?" kind of expression on my face to see if he's gonna say anything but the kid would not look over at me. he just stares stragiht ahead like he doesn't see me, so i go on about my business. i love when kids try to pull that "I own the road" bullshit just to get put in place by a family sedan. i wasn't even looking for a race, i just wanted to go home, drink a few beers and relax.

btw: from what i could tell the RSX was lowered with intake and exhuast.

HAHAHA, nice kill.
Us family sedans aren't as slow as some of these boy racers think.

I've always wanted to run a TYPE S to see how well they do but all I ever get around here are the RSX which I don't bother anymore.

Re: spanked an RSX-S last night

Are you sure it was a Type S? With those mods, it should be running at least mid 14s and trapping close to 100 mph. Maybe it was a really bad driver. 4-5 car lengths seems like a lot. Maybe he let off after 2nd? Third gear is the strongest on those cars, so if he kept up in 2nd, 3rd shouldn't be that bad.

Re: spanked an RSX-S last night

it was definitely a type s, i was behind him at the light at first and could see his badge. i kinda doubt those things'll run mid 14's with a muffler and intake, what's that add all of 3 hp? i was pulling on him by the middle of 2nd and in 3rd was when i really started to walk away from him. like i said his lane ended eventually, he may have begun to let off after i started pulling away, but by the time i reached the point where the lanes merge i was definitely like 3-5 cars ahead. remember that road and track got a stock 6 speed maxima to go 14.7@97 mph in oct 2002 when they first tested it, best i've seen for a stock RSX-S was a 15.1. also this isn't my first encounter with an RSX-S. i raced one in my 95 maxima and took him by about a car and a half. it only stands to reason that this car would do better against the same car, i do make a whole 100 lbs of tq more than the RSX-S and 55 more hp.

Re: spanked an RSX-S last night

With an awesome driver, they can cut a high 14, but most run in hte low 15s. I raced one with an exhaust when I had just installed my CAI, and we ran doors till about 100-110 when he started pulling on me, I let off when his rear wheel was at my door becuase we were doing 115 in a 35...Anyways, good kill, I love sedan kills.

Check out dragtimes, they are capable of mid 14s with just those two mods. They respond to mods well, especially with hondata.

Nice kill, sounded like he was a stuck up rick kid. Way to put him in his place.
