do not cut or chop springs. You might give your car a better look but you definitely won't give it a better ride. If you cut a spring you eliminate the spring coil strength Go for Eibach it's the best stuff out there for your money and ride quality. Stillen sells them for $215.00 and tokico shocks for a little less than $300.00. Also when changing springs it is recommended that you change the shocks. This is the correct way of doing things.

Thumbs down

I totally agree with D-sta, do not cut or chop springs, you will loose even more money by doing that. I myself have a 96 Maxima and I recently lowered it, I bought the Eibach springs for $220 and I'm really happy with them, I know I will probably have to buy shocks soon, but so far thay've been great. So if you really want to make your car look nice, save up some money and buy springs!

on the topic of springs. my max is stock, and i love the smooth ride right now, but i seriously want to get an air ride(bag) system for my car. I was considering coilovers but it would be too much of a hassle to change the height everytime i leave my driveway, so a system would be better, but i was wondering if the nice smooth ride would be changed if i added a system?
