How to remove antenna base?

I have a 97, and am looking to upgrade the antenna. My old one is snapped off. How do I remove the old base?

Re: How to remove antenna base?

I am not sure exactly but my guess would be it has to be done from inside the fender well. I am not for sure though never done it.

Re: How to remove antenna base?

If it's just the roc, they screw off and screw back on. If it is the base it is removed by:
pull the mast and remove the capnut on the outside of the fender
unplug the antenna connector
Lift off the upper adapter and gasket
unscrew the assembly and remove from fender
pull the whole assembly up
Installation is reverse of removal.
Hope this helps.
