i just picked up a PT

i just came back from the local groccery store, and i picked up a 1/43 PT cruiser for liek 4 bucks... i wanna repaint it and kinda detail it.. anyone know any tips for striping down the paint?

I don't know how it works on metal body, but I used owen cleaner and brake fluid on my models. US people recomend Castrol Super Clean, which I can't find here in Europe.
