Yep, Brent Rau is a DSM god. I think that was the record for fastest 4-cyl. at the time. There's a video of it inside the car too which is crazy.

That is bad ass. I wonder if(or if someone already has) broke into the 5's with a 4-cyl. I think that I am going to get another DSM someday and do a RWD conversion. It would be a fun project car. But that is so far in the future its not even funny.
college just costs too much damn money. Oh well I have an interview the 24th hopefully I get the internship/job.

While we're on the subject, did buscher sell his yellow 2g? I ask because I was at Shepherds garage yesterday and he had buschers car sitting in there tore apart some... I'm wondering if he bought it or something. I hadn't heard anything about it.

My god that car is badass, What a rush you'd get from those speeds at in that amount of time. I'll bet without the right gear it wouldn't be hard to get whiplash lol.

Yeah no shit. Launching a lightly modded TSI AWD is pretty sweet as it is, just imagine like 8x a much horsepower. Brent used to live in the twin cities area and I know a couple guys from down there that used to run with him at the track when he was running 11's and 12's. As a matter of fact, the guy I am buying my 90 TSI AWD from has his old clutch among a bunch of other parts. Definately sweet to have the fastest 4cyl be a DSMer. I think since then he has shaved off like 4/10ths. Definately sweet.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.
