rear end

I'm about ready to swap out my 3.4 for a ls1. got the engine and all the extras and the tranny. Just waiting for a slow day to use the shop I work at.
Just wondering how long will I be able to leave on the rear end before I would have to switch it as well. Tis the only thing I havent been able to find yet.

Re: rear end

You could probably use it for quite a while if you can resist punching that new motor for a while until you find one. Id say, under normal driving you could go months, certainly long enough to find a rear end. You pound on it, may last a month...Im not sure the rears are any tougher on the V8 than the V6 aside form the posi. though. The rears aren't that tough on the V8s come to think of it...
