I need some help with a 96 Tahoe

Okay I have a 96 Tahoe and for some reason while I'm listening to the radio the sound shuts off but the radio is still on . I've switched out the original radio thinking that was the problem and bought a new one and its still doing it. Can someone help me please!!!????

Re: I need some help with a 96 Tahoe

Some factory systems have a built in amplifiers and they can be hidden anywhere. They can be behind side panels in the back to under the dash.

The some radios themselves dont put out enough power so an inline amp is installed. I would try to trace that down.

You need a good audio guy to look at that one.
