Aem Cai

Hey guys...

I'm new to this forum. I have a 00 gsr and have been quite satisfied w/ it thus far. Recently I just put in an AEM CAI and dang was that hard. The instructions that came w/ it were a piece of junk. No diagrams and difficult to follow. But it was my first mod so woohoo!!! Luv it.

Anywayz... it's been 3500 miles since then and I was wondering if I need to clean the filter and if so how do I do that? About how often should I do this? Thx.

Well, i don't think you have to worry about that for a while, but im not sure exactly how to clean it, i guess the bigger chunks can be cleaned by hand...

you won't need to clean it for a while, aem sugest recharging a fifty thousands miles, thats when you buy a filtercharger kit from aem, basically a cleaning solution and a oil coating that helps dirt stick to the filter better

See if the CAI rubs on the A/C lines, the foam on my friend's lines are wearing down due to the contact.
