96 xj Wont start HELP!!!
my 96 xj wont start no crank nothing the lights and all come on when you turn the key but after that no sound.. i thought the starter was bad but i dont even get a click noise so i am ruling that out for now, ive read about the cps and nss but not sure how the nss would affect the starting of it i tried putting it in neutral but still nothing. i drove it home last night and when i did turn it off and try it it was sluggish at best when trying to start now this morning nothig HELP

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I haven't had trouble with a NSS myself, but from what I read, if the switch gets gummed up or dirty and doesn't make good contact, then no matter what position you put it in, she ain't gonna start. I did see somewhere a fairly simple procedure for taking it off, cleaning it and putting it back on. It might have been here somewhere. If I can find it I'll put up a link. The sluggish start thing has me thinking it may be somewhere else, bad connection at the battery? Good luck! PS: I almost dread writing this, but as a diagnostic tool only, you could clip a jumper across the two terminals on the NS switch and see if it does start. If that doesn't fix it, could be somewhere else...
