bad day...
I've got a question maybe someone can answer. I put a new distributor cap on my 93 LX today, but accidently switched cylinder 7 and 8 with my plug wires. It started up and about a second later all I heard was a loud bang, and I shut it off immediately. I'm assuming it was just a backfire, but can any real damage come from those wires being switched for a matter of 3 seconds? I pulled cyl 7 and 8 wires off to switch them, but the metal conductor in the wire pulled itself out of the boot. So now i'll have to get a new wire before I can find out anything. But does anyone know if I could've done anything major? Also, do you think accel will replace my 9mm wire for free, if I can buy just one, or if I'll have to get another set. Thanks!

Re: bad day...
Your motor should be fine, and you will probably have to buy a whole new set of wires unless there is some kinda warranty on them.
