Re: external dump

I had one on my eclipse, I had it on both turbos(the t25 and the evoIII). With the t25 it sounded like an old 50's truck running open headers...since the wga is so small on that turbo it bleads off all the exhaust and the sound can be somewhat overwelming sometimes. BUT with the evoIII it sounded perfect. I would definitely recommend getting it because you will most likely upgrade(oneday) anyways. It also gives you a quicker spool too. Plus they are easy to install. I was skeptical at first too since no sound clips but it turned out a good purchase, get one!!!

Re: external dump

what turbo do you have?
It's not something I recommend for a T25.
the your top end will die faster than it already does.

Re: external dump

I have a dump too, I love it. the sound depends on what runner/runners you have it on. single runner dumps usually have the rasp to it. dunp in the center of the manifold will sound more clean since its venting all four so dont hear the pulse of the single runner

Re: external dump

I absolutely HATE externaly dumped internal gates!! I ran that housing for exactly ONE day before I ripped it off and sold it at a huge loss just to be rid of it. I don't like my car sounding like a cross between a 2 stroke dirtbike and a rusted out 88 cavalier with no muffler.

An external gate is a whole different story however... Those actually sound good.
