ok, i want to do the z6 head swap into my rex. Does anyone have pics of what the dizzy looks like when the swap is complete. I know you have to leave like a gap or something but i don't completely understand it. could someone either describe this to me in extreme detail or give me some pics of some of the setups you have seen??? please help me out!

DISTRIBUTOR

92-95 WON'T work with 89-91 ECU. Use 89-91 si. You'll have to modify it somewhat if you're using D16Z6 block. No fancy machining needed. Just do it right and use big washers on the bolts and then get it timed to the red mark of the pulley. The distributor has 3 mounting holes: one closer to the fire wall (don't touch this one), one sort of on top and one closer to the rad. These two will have to be cut/modified. Not that much of a deal though, eh?! But, if you're swapping in the D16Y8 from a 96 on civic, your 4G distributor will bolt with 3 bolts onto the Y8 block!

The distributor can be installed using 2 mounts only seen on the above picture. The one in the back requires an adapter. Aaron made one for me. It's in an L-shape. 2 bolts hold the adaptor.
N.B. It would be a good idea to install the distributor without cutting it first, get the ignition timing done and see exactly where is has to be modified. That way you won't cut too much. Just hold the distributor with VISE grip. The picture above will give you a rough idea where the stock timing position is at.

edit: cut and paste the link for the pic and it should work...
