i bodged the decals
are is this model discontinued by tamiya??
if so guess it will be hard obtainging a replacement decal set

so the second question is had anyone un uk got a spare set??
if not does anyone know a the pink/red i can spray from the tamiya range that best matches the colour of the decals??

It's not discontinued anymore it seems - I got one from rainbow ten a month ago or so and it's still available from there.

yh i tried ebay already but dont really wanna buy a whole kit just for the decals unless i really have too

ill see if my lhs can get me a set of decals first

Do you purchase from Hobby Link Japan?

If so, they can obtain a spare decal sheet for you from Tamiya. Just email them at: [email protected] with the following information:

1) Kit code
2) Kit description
3) Scale
4) Parts code (can be found at back of instruction sheet) and description
5) Quantity
6) Your customer reference number.

All in all will probably cost you around a fiver.

I should have the decals set: only the pink sheet, I paint mine with LIFECOLOR FUN 08 DRAGON BLOOD, which match not bad the requested color

I got the same kit a month ago from a LHS and wasn't satisfied with the decals.... it was somewhat yellowing while the edges of the fluorescent pink decals weren't as sharp as it's supposed to be. It's as if the pink cartridge for the second pass was misaligned.

I went back to the same shop last week and inquired about some spare or replacement decals for this kit and to my surprise, they had some. The edges were sharper and the pink parts weren't the same shade compared to the decals which came with the kit. It was more like fuschia and exactly matches the fuschia color on the box art.

Unfortunately they won't sell me the pink sheet alone... the decals came as a set so I also had to get the other one which had the bucket seat decal. The set cost me US$ 6.00 though, almost half the price of what I paid for the whole kit.
