Blinker Problem
I have a 97 3.5L and starting yesterday my right turn signal started blinking extremely fast. I have not changed any bulbs lately and the left turn signal is fine. Any idea's?? Thanks.

Re: Blinker Problem
Has the car ever been in an accident? Other wise could be a short some where as well, maybe water. Hard to say.

Re: Blinker Problem
It's never been in an accident. It was fine one day and the next the blinker was blinking ten times the normal speed.

Re: Blinker Problem
You have a bulb burned out or not working, bad ground, or open circuit on the side the flasher is blinking fast. The newer "electronic" flashers are designed to do that, if both front and rear bulbs are working properly they flash at the normal speed, if one of those bulbs go out then it will flash at twice the speed as normal.
It's the opposite thing from the old "heating element" flashers the factory used to use where it would flash normally when all the bulbs work and not flash at all when one goes out. The newer units are better IMO because you still know you have a problem but at least 1 light is still flashing.
