I was watching Speed Channel the otherday (Woohoo, finaly got it ) and I saw the most horrid thing. Even worse then the GTR badges on geos and mustangs and whatnot. This is what it was.

Blue Honda 'Lude. NSX rear vents, R33 Tails, R32 GT-S hood, R34 Headlights... I just about vomited. To make matters worse, the host of the show was "ohhh and Ahhhhh"ing about it like it was the coolest thing on earth. She even said "This Prelude driver has built himself one unique ride" NO! How can it be unique when verious parts of it look like other cars? I'd like to find him and remove the non-prelude parts

Some people should just be shot on sight, like the person who owned the car and then the person who said it was nice. Anything Skyline has no place on a Honda... nothing... NOTHING!!!!

Have you guys tried to modify a cars appearance?

It takes hours to get it to look good. If that what floats his boat, more power to him. I personally would not do that, but if it did look astatically pleasing I would give the guy props, but if he just sourced out the work, he is just some dumb butt.

I agree with ya Sky, up untill it comes to highjacking parts from other cars. I don't car if you do some wild over the top bodykit and pait it neon pink, if you like it... It's all good. But when you start taking Skyline tails, Altezza tails, NSX vents, ect ect ect thats just not right. It's not even your idea, some car designer somewere said, hey.. These would look interesting, lets make um. And they have their place, on the car they were designed for. Now even if this guy had custom made all these parts, and they looked very much like the parts that exist on the other model cars, it would have been better. Because then atleast he had put the time and effort into getting somthing that suited his tastes. This way he's just saying, GTR tails look cool, lets us um, NSX vents are nice, lets use um. My hood looks bad, lets just use a GTS hood. I need some sharper headlights, lets steal some R34 headlamps. No effort in that...

If you do not think parts from other cars should be used on another make of car you would not have been able to tolerate the 40's through the 60's. My 50 merc has a 55 Desoto grille, 55 pontiac side trim, 50 lincoln tail lights and so on. My 32 has 50 pontiac tail lights.

As for doing this on new cars, done right why not...its a tradition.

As for the car you are talking about, sound like it might not have been done right.

You will not believe this! ... I didn't. I was walking along the road minding my own business, when what did I see? R34 blue, so I turn to look. GTR badge, big-arse racing wing, veilside looking bodykit etc. And it was on ....
