the dreaded brake/turn signal issue... possible fix
well i think i might have a easy fix for the melted bulb base on the rear brake/turn signal housing. I found a bulb called T3057 which doesnt have the plastic base but has the glass base from the bulb. So that should eliminate the melted base.

BUMP, keeping this at the top. so far so good for a bulb not melting.

So that should eliminate the melted base.[/quote=bigredone]I had a problem with the brake lites (ABS and Traction lites coming on) and when I pressed the brake pedal both turn signal lights would light dimly and bulbs kept burning out. The plug to the rear assembly was burned. I cut of the tab from a soda pop can and jammed it in the plug. All brake lites work 200% and no more ABS and Traction Lites.
