1992 Lesabre Limited Start Problem

I have a 1992 Lesabre with about 140,000 Miles as of the last month or so A starting problem has occured. When you start the car you have to keep your foot on the gas to get it to stay started or it dies instantly. When the engine is cold you only have to hold your foot on the gas for roughly 30 secons or so. Once you drive it into town and the engine gets warm it takes longer. An example is if you stop run into a gas station then come back you have to keep your foot on the gas anywhere from 30 sec to 5 min before it will stay started on its own. I have replaced the fuel filter. and even used some fuel injector cleaner to see if that would help but no help whatso ever but am at a loss for now. The ICM was replaced roughly 2-3 years ago. After the car stays started on its own it runs fine no problems at all.

Hello

My first thought is vacuum leak. Take some carb claner and spray around the intake area where it mounts to the heads. Also, check the air ducting after the mass air sensor.

Another thought would be a bad coolant sensor that's telling the computer that the engine is either hot or cold so the computer isn't giving the engine the correct amount of air or fuel.

Are you getting a check engine light? (CEL)?

Regards

Dan
