help - '97 Camry headlights coming on when car is off
The headlights have come on several times when my car is off with the keys removed from the ignition, doesn't matter if the headlight switch is switched to off or not. The parking and tail lights don't come on, just the headlights. I pulled the headlight relay, opened it up and it seems to be fine, even though it is not likely to be the problem. I think the problem might be with the integration relay. Is this thing difficult to remove? I took a look at it under the dash and couldn't figure out how to remove it, I suspect I'll have to remove the dash covers under the steering wheel. It looks like it can be opened up, is this a good thing to do to figure out if it is faulty or not? Maybe I can repair it? The dealer wants $230 for a new one. Ouch. Incidentally, the horn does not sound anymore when I use my key fob to arm or disarm the aftermarket alarm system/ignition kill/keyless entry I have had installed on the car since new. These two symptoms started at the same time. Is there anything else that could cause this problem other than the integration relay?

To me it sounds like you have problems with your aftermarket alarm. I thought of it even before finished reading your post where you mentioned it.

Re: help - '97 Camry headlights coming on when car is off
I considered the alarm also, but since the alarm has no interaction with the headlights I kind of think the alarm isn't the culprit. When I activate or deactivate the alarm, only the parking and taillights flash, the headlights don't, they never have. The integration relay is the only thing I can think of in which both the headlights and the horn interact. BTW both the headlights and the horn operate normally when the car is running.
