rear brakes
My rear brakes screech really loud when i am coming to a stop. My brake shoes were replaced about 5000 miles ago and ive had my brakes looked at several times but nobody can figure out what is making the noise. Does anyone else suffer from overly obnoxious brake screaming?

Re: rear brakes
Take the drums off and clean them and the shoes with brake cleaner to get rid of any grit that might be causing the problem. Be sure the top edge of the front shoe linings and the bottom edge of the rear shoe linings have a bevel on them. Use a file or sandpaper to create a beveled edge if they don't have one and then spray them again with brake cleaner before installing the drums.
