?????'s about evos

im a honda kid and need some information from evo owners:
you see i have a boosted honda and in the next year looking to buy an evo.

i would like to know stock 1/4 mile times. having some difficulty finding them on google.

i would also like to know stock boost levels. also having trouble finding them.

i know that the engine is a 4g63...the same in turbo'd eclipses, talon, lasers. what makes this 4g63 differnt from past 4g63.

and please anything else that is interesting

thanks

Re: ?????'s about evos

Ok here's what I Believe is true. Expect something in the 13s for 1/4mile, stock boost levels are 19psi and the evo IX will have the mivec. Don't ask me what that is though. There also was talk of ditching the 63 all together.

Re: ?????'s about evos

evo has higher compression than the eclipse I believe it is 8.7 and the 95-99 is 8.5. the evo motor is inverted so all the cams and what not are on the oppisite side. The evo has a better head than the 95-99 eclipse. mivec is mitsubishi's version of vtec for honda. That is the best thing I can compare it to. I don't think that the evo's come with it. I know that the lancer rali art does as well as the 2006 eclipse's. Hope this helps

Re: ?????'s about evos

the evo motor is not the same 4g63 as the previous DSMs. basically the evo's version has everything on the opposite sides (i.e. belts on the pass side on the evo, intake goes on the driver side. that's all opposite on DSMs).

stock evo boost peaks at 19 and tapers to 16-17 at redline.

they are said to run low 13s stock.
