Engine measurements?

Guys, I need a big favor. I found an Opel Ascona with a blown engine in it, and they're kinda rare here in the US so I'm gonna fix it up. Now, I'm quite familiar with the I4s and I6es in Jeeps, and so I kinda want to use one of them. but, I need the outside measurements of the engines. From end to end, left to right, and lowest to highest point on the engines if you all would be so kind. I know the I4 will fit, because that's what I have, but what about the I6? (I wouldn't put an I4 in my lawn mower...) What about some measurements for the 301,360, and 401 V8s as well? Sorry, I feel like I"m asking a lot, but I need to know!

Re: Engine measurements?

Big project, and I surely don't have the measurements. BUT....I'm sure the local junkyard has all the vehicles you'd need to get the statistics you're after.
