I called the trans shop and they said bring it in so i'm doing that. they said it could be a sensor or pressure solenoid, i hope it aint 2 serious, well worst case scenario how much does it cost to rebuild the 4160 trans?

Re: Trans Problem

There is a website that has a rebuildkit, once install, is the equivalent of the streetfighter tranny set-up. It's all the parts, but you gotta get someone to install it. Something like pro built automatics? I can't find it right now.

Re: Trans Problem

Well i took my car to the trans shop, and the tranny is fucked, so im just having them completely rebuild the tranny. It's going to cost me 2 grand but there going to leave it race prepped. Now what stall should i get the guy recommended i should get a 2k stall since it's still a daily driver. what do you guys think?

Re: Trans Problem

I hope you trust this 'guy'. If one doctor told you you'll die next week, wouldnt' you like a varied opinion?

just making a point, never go with one diagnosis, unless you REALLY trust it.

Re: Trans Problem

Well i knew it had some problems because it would get tranny would get hot and it started slipping. but either way i have the cash to spend. I'm glad it's going to be rebuilt with performance parts. Hopefully it makes my car faster.
