Speed Sensor/Speed Pulser
OK, I having problems, seems Honda, Auto Zone, and O'reillys think I am an idiot. Here is the problem - occasionally I am getting the flashing "S" and the speedometer stops working. When I read what has been said about this, it is written that a speed pulser should be replaced first and Honda says they know nothing about a Pulser. I need to be sure what the difference is between the Pulser and Speed Sensor since the Sensor cost nearly $200...please help...

http://www.hondapitstop.com/accord/t...ed_pulser.html If you buy a new speed sensor from the dealership, expect to pay WAY too much. Most people opt for a used one, either from another board member selling parts from their old Hondas (like I did), or going to a junkyard and getting it for $5-20. At a dealership, it could run well over $100. If you do some searching online, I found some remanufactured ones for ~$50 that came with some sort of warranty, but I’m sorry, I don’t recall the website. Try searching Yahoo, I'm sure you'll find it.
