89' Daytona Heater Fans...

Hey Everybody, I was just thinking, since im not a big car guy, I was wondering how I would go about fixing the fans up by the dash. The dfroster and lower ones work, but the bi-level(middle) fans wont work, Am I going to have to tear the dash out to fix it? Thanks!

Theres only one fan which comes out under the glove box. But your fan is ok if you are getting air. Your problem is with the doors that port air to the different outlets. Could be a vacuum leak going to one of the doors. could be the control unit where you select the bi-level, defrost etc. butons.

Hey,

Yea, There is a selector for bi-level, defroster, fan, and stuff like that, but when you click any of them, it doesnt switch over like it is supposed to...Could the switch be bad?

Re: 89' Daytona Heater Fans...

yes the switch control could be bad. If you are hearing nothing when various buttons are pressed then check the vacuum supply line in the engine compartment. There is a small gray plastic line running from the brake booster to the fire wall. This is the line that supplys vacuum to the control unit.
make sure it is connected to the brake booster and not cracked.
Good luck
