Angry 93 Galants Starts but won't go!!

I need some opinions....I have a 93 galant with an automatic transmission..the problem, i was driving home and stopped at a stop sign, when i took of it was like someone shifted the car into neutral Now the car just revs. It starts FINE and there aren't any noises, but it just won't shift, its like it is stuck in neutral. I just had all of the belts replaced. I need all the suggestions I can get. I miss my car!

Have someone check the transmission fluid, (unless you already know how). It's possible you may have a leak, and lost just enough fluid for it to slip. If so, add some more and try it. If it works, take it to the shop to find and fix the leak. If not, like the other post, you will need a new or rebuilt tranny. Good Luck!

I had a friend tell me that the problem could also be CV joints. Does anyone agree/disagree with this option? Please let me know.

If your tranny is in that bad of shape you should call a mechanic. More than likely they wont charge you if you just give them the details and ask for some suggestions. And if they want to charge you I'd call another mechanic because most would have no problem with a quick phone call for some simple advice or suggestions of what it may be.

Re: 93 Galants Starts but won't go!!

So my dad just realized....You can shift the car, but it just won't move. The motor will rev and everything. You can put it in park and it won't move, put in reverse, puch it backward, neutral okay well y'all get the point... So now I am asking again.....PLEASE HELP, I don't really want to take it to a mechanic if there is no hope!!!!! I will take any suggestions/help
