Question Open Air BOV and Idle Problems ?..?

I have a R32 GTS-t RB20DET and have changed the BOV from the factory plumback to an open air one, brand is : Bee*R. I have also plugged the hole that the old plumback system used to connect to the intake piping just after the Mass Airflow Sensor. Now I'm having very bad idling problems. The car wants to die when it comes to a stop. It is also now idling bewteen 200-1000rpm up and down. I have heard somewhere about something called an idle controller but I asked around and people just look at me like I'm nuts!!

PLEASE HELP fast!!! I need all the help I can get!!

Eric

Try resetting your ECU, going from a plumback to a atmosphere vent can screw up your A/F ratio.

There is a idle controler, but sounds like a leak. Get a flameable spray to find it. The rpms shound go up.

Thumbs up

Eric

HKS has a divice known as the EDIS. This is what HKS claim that it does.

EIDS
This automatic function prevents engine stalling or stumbling in some airflow meter vehicles which use blow-off valves discharged to the atmosphere when throttle is released. This is achieved by continuously sensing the output voltage of the air flow meter.

Hope this will help u.

Cool, thanks I just picked up that HKS EIDS but have yet to put it in. A japanese driver cliped my front end, when he ran a stop sign, the other week. It is in the bodyshop right now waiting for the other guys insurance agent to adjust the estimate for unseen damage. It is currently up in the air if they are going to total it or fix it. Either way I'm going to fix it. The damage isn't that bad its the labor that raises the price.

Any how here is the most recent pic of my car a week before the accident!!
