O/T: Midterm Project Ideas Needed

Hey all;
I'm not one to make new off-topic posts, but I really need help. I've got midterms this week and next week. So I've got a question becuase I'm all out of ideas. First, check out this site and see if it looks good.

The information doesn't have to be accurate, and nothing else is really important. Basically, it was just for use of an advance CSS sheet.


My main question is for my animation class. I have to make a 10-15 second animation (non-video) that shows a metaphor. It can be any metaphor. This is what the email said:

We just wanted to make sure that it was understood that you can
either use a metaphor of your own creation, or one that you "borrow"
that interests you for some reason, OR one from the story that we
handed out last week for the midterm piece.

Also, we are really serious about the time limit - NO MORE THAN 20
SECONDS TOPS! Less is more.

I wanted to go "Every Rose has it's thorn" but can't think of any way to show it without being literal. I can't be literal. Any suggestions. The quicker the better. Thanks!!

I dont know if this would work, but maybe show a DSM loosing a motor or something. Of course the DSM being the "rose". Don't know just a thought.

haha. Very nice. It needs to be something that everyone will know. Considering I'm the only car-guy in my class, no one would get it. It doesn't have to car realated.

Ok what about a guy bungee jumping and the cord breaking. With the cord being the "thorn" and the bungee jumping experience being the "rose". I think that it would be funny but im not sure thats what your going after.

Its true though, and its kinda sad when that happens. I am no fan of a slut, and when there is a REAL beautiful girl and shes also nive, but she turns out be kinda slutty...it really puts a damper on things.

So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm working on it right now. Going to show lots of hot girls, then end with something dealing with STDs. Basically going to flash thru tons of pics of girls, and then the viruses and shit are all going to start mixing in. I'm working on it right now. I'll post a link when I'm done. I love you guys.
