2003 Remote Entry Setup

I have tried various methods to get my new remote to sinc with my Town Car to no avail, does anyone know how to program a remote to a 2003?

Have you tried: (2000 Process)
Take the remote transmitters to a dealer OR;

Have ALL the transmitters you wish to program present, they all need to be recognized at the SAME time during this programming process.

Note: at no time should you turn the key all the way to Start during this process.

* Place the key in the ignition and turn from Lock to Off.
* Cycle between Off and On four times in rapid succession within three seconds, ending in the On position.
* The doors will respond by lock/unlocking letting you know your in programming mode, press ANY button on EACH remote to be programmed (up to four).
* When the last remote is programmed, turn the ignition key to Off.

Let us know if that works for 2003 as well.

Hi Steven, checking the 2003 Owners Manual (page 119 of the 5th edition) it looks like the procedure is identical. For those who don't know, a PDF copy of most FoMoCo Owners manuals can be found https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp
