Uhh HI...
Yeah, I've been browsing through here and looking at all the questions about interior painting. In the past I posted a couple of questions of how to get pieces of my dash off, but I am begining to question some things. Pretty much all of the replys recomended sanding and primering followed by 10 "EXTREMELY" light coats. I recently did mine (pics comming soon) I did NOT sand, I did NOT primer, and I put about 3 or 4 coats on, and I think it looks pretty damn good considering this is just about the first thing I ever painted. Sorry but I just had to get that out!

Hey, that's sounds like great. When did you do this?
Let's see how it stands... Give us an update on the original paint in a few months?

I did it at the begining of June. Will the way I did it make it wear more quickly?
I didn't mean to sound like a smartass, but that is kinda the way it came out.... sorry.

If you don't sand it and primer it, then the paint will start to chip. A friend of mine painted some of the interior pieces in his 5th gen Civic and now it's all chipping and it looks like shit. On the other hand I did the same thing, but I sanded all the pieces and primered them all. Then I painted them white and finished them off with a few light coats of clear gloss. And all the pieces look great till this day, no chips.
