My idle went from 800-2000 in neutral, and up to 1000 or so in drive. The headers glow after a short while. It still has all normal power as I drive, its just the idle. When I took off the mass air sensor, it idled at the right speed, just horrably, but it had correct ammout of power.
We checked all sorts of wires and timing and plugs etc, all fine, its down to the comp and mass air as it looks, any sugestions?, Any ideas? PLEASE HELP

Dude..i would try to see if your idle control valve is malfunctioning...that is the problem to most idle problems on all sorts of cars...my question is..what were the conditions of the car before this started to happen, and did you notice anything funny or different prior to the problem?

we checked the idle controller, and bypassed it, nothing changed, but as I said, when we took off the mass air it idled correctspeed. The only condition was making true dual exaust, which seems to have no affect to it.
Only condition was a squeek, which may be related, I dont recall hearing it after the problem...
