Ticking sound from engine. . .Injectors?

Hello,
I have a 351 EFI engine in my vehicle and its making a ticking sound. I used a piece of plastic pipe to determine where the sound is coming from and it seems to be from the injectors. Is it normal for them to make a clicking or ticking sound? Do they need cleaning? Thanks!

im not actually sure on this question, i just wanted to let you know......your probably not going to get a responce from anyone here.....no one here likes to respond to anything u post.... kinda like my oil pressure thread i made...2 of them actually...tomorrow will be a 3rd...



but i dont belive theres supposed to, my dads 6cyl is doing the same...he thinks its the injectors...but we havent found anything yet..

Yes injector noise can be loud enough to be heard as "ticking", and it normally does NOT indicate any trouble in the injector.

The injectors in my supercrew, yukon, and trans am all tick loudly always have that ticking is how they work.
