98 xj On-board air

I want to do an onboard air set up but, I'm not really sure how. i found some info on it but, one thing I can't figure out is where to mount the tank, I only have a 2 door so space is limited as it is, I really don't want it inside the back of my jeep I'm wondering if I would need a tank? would those york compressors put out enough air with the engine running to power small air tools? or pump up a tire or two??

Actually does anyone know if the stock ac compressor could put out enought to run small tools?

ok thinking two smalls tank mounted along the frame rails made of 3" pvc pipe, it says on the pvc 260 psi, Theres no way I would excede that. think it will work? is there a way that I couls figure out how much air it would hold? ex 3 gallons? say 3inch ID pipe by 4 foot long times two...
