He was faster here...but was also stock. At sea level...him and I would be about even. At least at the time the pics were taken. He was stock, I was headers, cat-back, lid. Would have been close at sea level. But here in Denver...he would have won. At my altitude (above sea level) he has an advantage with boost. Turbo > Supercharger (Cobra) > N/A (mine) here. And I am STILL N/A. What happens is since a turbo compresses the air...the thinner air here in Denver doesn't affect that car so much. Supercharger does the same thing as a turbo. At least when it comes to compressing the air. The supercharger requires RPM's to build that compressed air though, so they aren't quite as efficient here as turbo cars. N/A....plain out screwed here. You drop AT LEAST 0.5 points in compression because of how thin the air is here. Both S/C and T/C cars have a serious advantage over an N/A car here. Anyways....him and I would have been a great race. He would have taken me though.

Re: Cobra and Trans Am
Was that the friendly neighborhood officer I see in that pic Mr Luos?
![]() Some real nice blk beauties there guys! Doesnt the your TA hav few pounds on the Stang? Not that its that much, but if you were to race it'd matter maybe. Being above sea level is something I havnt given much thought to before, and you would be right about the turbo/SC's being better at that level. I guess that why the Pikes Peak races are so hard, above, below, damn! I think I willl stay at see level

Re: Cobra and Trans Am
Pretty sure the fully loaded Cobra and the fully loaded T/A are similiar in weight.
