GTP bleeding brakes problem

My father owns a 2002 Grand Prix GTP. He recently (today) replaced his electronic brake control module. After finally getting fed up seeing his ABS light and Traction control (TCS) light on he took it to the shop. They found code C0110 which has something to do with the "Pump Motor Circuit Malfunction". They told him that he needed to replace the Brake control module (he replaced the hub assembly a little over a year ago). He found a used one for around 100 bucks. He replaced it and is trying to bleed the brakes. He said that no fluid was coming out of the valve. He was wondering, since this is the first time he has bled the brakes on this car, if he needs something to suck the fluid out (create a vacuum on the brake line) or is there something else special that needs to be done. We have bled the brakes on my 95 Olds Aurora (with ABS) and they bleed the same as any other car. Is a 2002 GTP somehow different?

If he replaced the ABS motor/pressure control modulator you may need professional servicing in the form of pressure or power bleeding.

These cars are hard to bleed and you will probably have to take it to the shop and have the abs deactiveated so that the brakes can be bled. You need a Tech 2 scanner to do this. What happens is they disable the ABS and then the brakes can be bled. Then they reactivate the system.
