Jetta seat fabric attracts too much lint

I have an 2001 Jetta with black fabric interior. This thing attracts lint like nothing I have ever seen in my life! I go at it with the vacuum and follow up with a lint roller, but the next day the lint is already coming back. This has been the situation even when it was new, but since I am putting it up for sale now I want to make it look a little nicer inside.

Does anybody have any ideas how to remedy this problem? Is there some kind of spray or something that would make the seats stop attracting lint?
