S-10 won't always fire up

I've got an 87 S-10 4X4. I have fuel but no spark. It was able to start a couple of weeks ago, ( not road worthy yet), but today it wouldn't fire up. Could it be the module? Please help if you can.

Yes. My 87 went through 2 of them. You can pull it out and take it to a auto parts store and they will test it for you. Don't just buy one and hope that it's the problem. If I remember rite the things cost like $35.00
