98 Explorer Eddie Bauer, 4x4 Selector

Last Night I Put My Explorer Into Low Range To Back Up My Driveway As There Was 20" Of Snow. Today She Is Still In The Low Gear Even Though I Moved The Selector To Auto. I Tried Backing Up 10-20' To Disengage But It's Still In Low. I May Have Switched To Low Without Going To Neutral First. Any Help Appreciated...thanks In Advance....

to switch to low and from low to auto, you must first be in neutral, i had same thing when i first got the car, didnt know how to switch properly. so put it into neutral and then switch to auto and then put to D, Park or whatever.

I thought it had to be in park when you switch into 4wd, so I have to be in neutral thanks.
