Harmless Question about spoilers.

I know this is a highly flammable topic, but in all seriousness...Why do people put huge supra wings on their civics?

Im not saying they're stupid for doing it, nor am I saying that civic owners are the only ones who do it, nor am I saying that all civic owners do it. I also realize this topic has probably been beaten into the ground, but I just want a reasonable answer: Why?

I promise not to flame anyone's reply unless they make an incorrect statement or they personally insult me.

BTW: If you say "To impress people", please say what kind of people you intend to impress.

Its all personal taste and opinion. I'm sure nobody is looking for performance or to copy a supra, they just like the looks of them. Its the same reason people put every other piece of useless crap on their car... its their style.

First of all I think people put these spoilers on cars is to make thier car stand out and to be different. Just like why we have different styles of clothing and hair. Some people like to do this kinda stuff because they like the attention that they recieve when driving a nice looking car e.g. girls, same car (standard/not as heavily modified) I'm not saying I'm one of those. I just like to give the car a personal touch. To be honest I myself prefer to have a good looking car than an ugly car! And I dont like having the same looking car as everybody else. yes u may get the odd person with the same kind of kit on the car but at least you're not the same as every single owner in the world. Its all just down to a matter of taste.

People who like to modify will probably be offended by that statement.

Personally I don't know whether to be offended or agree. If you think about it, it is pretty damn stupid what we do. We invest mad cash and time into crap we don't need. The only reasons I can think of to justify the things we do are to impress people and go faster.

I dont mean to offend, but think about it.

Dont get me wrong I'm not saying I am offended. To be honest when u start stating why we do things we dont need and spend heaps of cash etc. Then we can go into all sorts of topics such as why we buy cds, dvds, new clothes etc its all down to needs and wants. what is a need and what is want?

If a car is a car and its job is to take us from A to B then why dont we all just buy a really crap and cheap car to do the job and just forget about modifying all together. If people do things to thier cars then obviously they have thier reasons. The reason would probably be "Because I want to."

Good point, I never thought about all of those other things. Personally I don't like the Supra style wings on Civics. There aren't many cars that could pull of a nice look with that wing. It might look ok on a lude or teg, but I don't think I've ever seen it before. As for ricey spoilers, I like em, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks. I like the big ass double tier wings (VR, Combat) on Civics. Especially when paired with a Buddycub rear bumper.

Hi, I'm kinda new to this but I was looking at the pictures on your website crniaumdesigns. I was wondering where you got the shoulder straps from with the 'powered by Honda' on them. If you have a website that would be great as I live in England so the shops are hard to find.

Thanks for your help

I didn't mean to offend anybody, I'm just saying that I think its a waste of money for these $50 billet battery tie downs, $45 Mugen oil caps, and pretty much everything made by APC . I'm not saying its wrong to buy this stuff, I just don't see the point. But as long as you earn your own money, nobody's stopping you from making you own decisions and buying what you want.

i think hese spoilers for supras are cool. i think people get them to show off to pepole(money style ets.). i think it is optional to put on a supra spoiler. i think the only opinion that matters is th owners and thats all that matters.
