HELP Interpreting A CARFAX Report

Ok, i saw an 01' Passat that i am interested in. I got a carfax report for a car i am interested in. and the results in the DETAILED VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT shows that it was serviced often at a service facility. Does this mean that the car had a lot of problems and needed to be taken in often to be corrected or is that just the owner taking it in for the regular maintenance. that is roughly every 5,000 miles. My interpretation is that the dealer offered free oil change every 5,000 mile for free (with the owner hopefully having a change in between). That showing up wouldn't deter me from buying it.
